TUESDAY JULY 15TH probably around 10:30-11am

Anyone willing to spare an hour or less of their time??!
Looking for volunteers to help us unload (probably the last) summer food box delivery!
Our next delivery of 5 pallets (440 boxes) will be Tuesday July 15!
(We do not have a time yet, but my guess is probably around 10:30-11am?) MONDAY, JULY 14TH IS THE LAST DAY TO TURN IN READING FOR OUR 2025 SUMMER READING PROGRAM! REMINDER - BOOKS NEED TO BE CHECKED OUT ON YOUR OWN LIBRARY CARD - TO COUNT FOR SUMMER READING.

Monday, July 14th at 3:00 pm - Friends of Girard Public Library Meeting - Next meeting of the Friends of GPL.

Monday, July 14th at 4:45 pm - Community Game Night - Join us to "Cool Off With Board Games" at the library! We will have a variety of board games and card games for all ages to enjoy.

Tuesday, July 15th @ 6:00 pm - Summer Reading Award & Outdoor Bash - Join us for the conclusion of our summer reading program! We will have awards for Adults, Teens, and Children. Following awards, we will have hot dogs and chips. Then, we will move outside to the library lawn for snow cones, cotton candy, spray dye shirts (bring your own light colored shirt), baseball inflatable, and more!

Tuesday, July 15th @ TBA - Summer Meal Box Delivery - Anyone willing to spare an hour or less of their time??!

Happening today at Girard Public Library!

"What is Healthy Soil?" presentation by Brigham Joy @ 10:00 am - Join us for a presentation by GUEST SPEAKER - BRIGHAM JOY!
He has a presentation about the community living in our soil. It has three parts to the presentation and is fun for kids of all ages.
(1) A combination of charades and role play learning about microbes.
(2) A microscope demonstration using soil. Kids get the opportunity to create their own slide to look at and see microbes with.
(3) An activity on soil composition that involves pudding/whipped cream, candy, and a huge mixing bowl. Kids can have some to eat afterwards.

Wednesday, July 16th from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm "Grab & Go" Summer Meal Program - Grab-n-Go Meal Boxes available to kids ages 18 and younger.
~ Child must be PRESENT to receive a box or the parent/guardian MUST have completed the "Parent/Guardian Meal Pick up approval" form before pick up.
A "Parent/Guardian Meal Pick up Approval" form CAN ONLY BE COMPLETED WHEN THE PARENT/GUARDIAN AND THE CHILD(REN) ARE AT THE SITE TOGETHER.
**Absolutely NO grab-n-go boxes can be served on any other day or time. Only on Wednesdays from 11:30am-12:30pm in June & July.
Failure to adhere to this distribution rule can result in the Girard Public Library losing the program.
Child care facilities cannot pick up meals for the children in their care.
