Happening today at Girard Public Library!
Baseball Presentation by Phil S. Dixon - Girard Public Library will be hosting Phil S. Dixon for a presentation about Pitcher Frank Wickware. Frank was born in Girard, KS on March 18, 1888 and later moved to Coffeyville. He was a pitcher in the Negro Leagues from 1910-1920 and was inducted into the Kansas Baseball Hall of Fame in 2011.
Phil will also be doing a presentation and discussion of "The Kansas City Monarchs and America`s National Pastime."
Everyone is invited to attend this free program! The program is made possible by Humanities Kansas.

Thursday, March 27th @ 10:00 am - Building Strong Readers Ages 0-5 - Have fun with farm stories and a craft!
