Brigham Joy has a presentation about the community living in our soil. It has three parts to the presentation and is fun for kids of all ages.
(1) A combination of charades and role play learning about microbes.
(2) A microscope demonstration using soil. Kids get the opportunity to create their own slide to look at and see microbes with.
(3) An activity on soil composition that involves pudding/whipped cream, candy, and a huge mixing bowl. Kids can have some to eat afterwards.
